A man was stabbed to death in Rovaniemi while two other people were found dead in Vaasa and Oulainen during the weekend, police said in separate press releases.
The stabbing incident took place on Sunday night at about 9:00 p.m. when two men involved in a quarrel after arrival at Kairatie area in Rovaniemi by two separate cars.
At certain stage one person attacked another with a knife resulting his death on the spot.
Responding to an alarm, police and rescue service people rushed to the spot and recovered the body from there.
Police also arrested the suspect from the spot.
Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the victim and the suspect and their relation but said that they knew each other.
Police did not disclose the detail about the incident at the initial stage of the investigation but said that influence of alcohol or other intoxication did not play role in the incident.
Police are investigating into the case as murder.
Meanwhile, police recovered body of a person from a parking space at Melanieme area in Vaasa on Sunday morning.
A passerby found the body at about 6:00 a.m. and informed the police in this regard.
Police also recovered body of another person from Oulainen, a municipality under Northern Ostrobothnia region on Saturday afternoon.
A bystander saw the body inside a ditch at about 4:00 p.m. and informed the police about the incident.
Police, however, did not disclose the detail identities of the deceased.
Police do not suspect any crime links to the deaths at the preliminary stage of the investigations.
They are investigating into the incidents to find out the reasons behind the deaths.
