Prime Minister Petteri Orpo on Monday said that Finland is committed to achieving all the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.
“Finland is committed to achieving all the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. The key to Finland’s SDGs progress is our tradition spanning across electoral terms to collaborate broadly with a whole-of-society approach,” the Premier said at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York, according to Finland's Mission to the UN.
Orpo is leading Finland’s delegation at the two-day forum began on Monday, said the government in a press release.
On Monday, Orpo delivered a speech at the plenary session of the forum, and on Tuesday he will present Finland’s third Voluntary National Review.
The review assesses Finland’s progress in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals agreed on in 2015.
