Two persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Pori and Savonlinna on Tuesday, police said.
The first accident took place at about 7:00 a.m. when a private car skidded off the Parkanontie road and collided with a roadside wall in Pori, a municipality under Satakunta region.
Driver of the car, who was alone onboard, died on the spot in the accident.
Police, however, did not divulge detail about the accident and the identity of the deceased.
Meanwhile, an elderly person was killed when his car skidded off the road and collided with a roadside tree on Tetrilahdentie road in Savonlinna, a municipality in Eastern Finland in the afternoon at about 2:50 p.m.
Responding to an alarm, police and rescue service people rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the man of his 80s.
Police said that the deceased was the same person, who went missing from South Karelia region on Monday.
The Accident Investigation Board and police are investigating into the incidents to find out the circumstances surrounding them and get more information about the accidents.
