Two persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Keuruu and Ilmajoki on Thursday, police said.
The first accident took place in the morning at about 9:00 O´clock when a private car collided with an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Jyväskyläntie road near Kalettomantie intersection in Keuruu, a municipality under Western Finland and part of Central Finland regions.
Driver of the ATV died on the spot while the driver of the private car sustained minor wounds in the accident.
Police suspected that the private car knocked down the ATV from the behind resulting the accident.
Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and the injured private car driver.
Vehicular movement on the Jyväskyläntie road remained suspended for about three hours following the accident.
Meanwhile, an elderly man was killed in a road accident at Ilmajoki, a municipality under South Ostrobothnia region on Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place on Elotie road at about 12:30 p.m. when a speeding truck crushed the man, who was walking along the road under the wheels.
He died on the spot.
The police did not disclose details about the accident and the identity of the victim.
The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the cases to find out the circumstances surrounding the incidents and the reasons behind the accidents.
